Matt Hamm was born and raised in Newton, KS, and has always dreamed of owning his own company in Newton one day. That dream came true when Matt opened RailTrust Mortgage. Matt’s passion is to help clients feel like a part of the RailTrust family and work with people they can trust.
With over 20 years of lending experience in the mortgage industry, including holding almost every role throughout the mortgage process at one point or another, Matt is excited to share his knowledge and expertise with fellow Kansans. Matt graduated from Baker University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Finance.
As the President and CEO of RailTrust Mortgage, Matt oversees all aspects of the mortgage process and is passionate about simplifying the process and helping everyone find the right mortgage for their dream home.
When Matt is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family – his wife, Jen, and twin daughters, Lila and Sophie. Matt also enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing golf.

Carol grew up on her family’s dairy farm in El Dorado, KS. Her formative years were filled with valuable lessons that bolstered her strong work ethic and taught her the importance of integrity and relationships. She received her bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in 2005. Since then she has lived in three other states, but ultimately decided to raise her family in Kansas. She’s excited to help others make Kansas their home as well.
With a commitment to offer personalized and efficient service to every individual, Carol’s goal is to walk with you to make what can be a very stressful and confusing process much less overwhelming. She’s here to help you sift through all of the options available to find the loan product that is the very best fit for your financial needs.
Outside of work, Carol focuses on spending time with her four children. She also enjoys serving at church, honing her culinary skills, and traveling anytime she gets the chance.

Jaden grew up in Goddard, Kansas, and brings a strong academic foundation in Finance from Kansas State University to his role as a Mortgage Originator at RailTrust Mortgage. He is passionate about creating homeownership opportunities for the next generation and helping clients see that owning a home is both achievable and within reach.
With experience across financial planning, analysis, and lending through internships with banks and lending institutions, Jaden brings a strong financial foundation and a tech-savvy approach to the mortgage process. He takes pride in educating first-time homebuyers, simplifying complex information, and guiding them step-by-step so their homeownership goals feel clear, attainable, and realistic.
Outside of work, Jaden enjoys cheering on K-State sports, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.
